Foothill Slopes, Handled Properly

Rear slopes are the defining feature of many RSM lots. We stabilize and plant them with deep-rooted, low-water species on drip — banks that hold through winter rain and ask almost nothing in summer — and where grade allows, terrace them into usable ground with engineered walls and honest drainage.

Storm water gets routed deliberately: area drains, sub-drains behind walls, discharge where the city wants it. It is the least visible work we do and the most important on a foothill lot.

Patios for Mountain Evenings

The view east deserves a place to watch it. We build patios and fire terraces oriented to Saddleback, with shade for the afternoon and flame for the evening chill — fire pits, bowls and tables run on permitted gas lines with proper clearances.
